The beautiful setting and serene atmosphere were calming.
I was disappointed by the distance to public transport. Carrying my luggage uphill was a real struggle. The communication about meal times and details for allergies was unclear, leaving me frustrated .

Room offered a comfortable stay with a blend of traditional design and modern amenities, fitting for at least four. The experience of dining was a highlight, with beautifully crafted and flavorful meals at both breakfast and dinner. The public onsen, while slightly small, provided a relaxing escape, though the private options were more spacious. The limited quantity in meals may not satisfy larger appetites, and the absence of some essential amenities led to minor inconveniences during the visit.

The hot spring experience is soothing and gentle, perfect for relaxation. Meals are well-prepared and delicious, though not big enough for hearty eaters. The dining schedule was somewhat inflexible, and the rooms could use some updates, particularly the bathroom sink.

It was just a great match for a brief hiatus in Hakone with high value for money. The open-air bath was nice. I loved how relaxing the gentle hot spring was. Consider taking transport from the station to the hotel. The walk can be tough with luggage.

So spacious and well-appointed, with tatami mats and sliding walls. the public baths were also a treat, both indoor and outdoor, providing a relaxing experience. the location was key, just a five minute walk from the cable car, allowing us to easily explore the surrounding area. And the view from our room was breathtaking.
Worst aspects of our Easter getaway: it was disappointing that there were no private showers or baths in our room, meaning we had to use the public baths. the preset menu for dinner didn't offer much variety, with mostly fish dishes.

We spent Christmas at a lovely Japanese inn surrounded by nature and were absolutely charmed by the experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a warm traditional feel. We especially enjoyed the communal bath, which was a wonderful way to relax after a long day of exploring. The location was also perfect, just a short walk from the train station and with easy access to the beautiful surrounding areas.
That the staff was not particularly helpful. They seemed disinterested in providing information about the area and didn't offer any suggestions for nearby restaurants or activities.
